No. The 14-day free trials for Cal Tech, Metrologist, and Lab Manager do not require a credit card. You get full access to every feature in the plan during the trial. The Student plan has no free trial, but also requires no card — you’re charged at signup with a verified .edu email address.

MetLibrary is MetTutor’s dedicated RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) knowledge base — a curated collection of 950+ metrology documents including ISO 17025:2017, NIST GUM/TN 1297, VIM (JCGM 200:2012), NCSLI RP-1–12, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3, A2LA P102, ILAC G8/P14, and more. The Metrologist plan is purpose-built for CCT candidates. In addition to the Cal Tech features (110Q timed mock exam, readiness score, spaced repetition SM-2, CCT study calendar), Metrologist adds NCSLI Recommended Practices, A2LA guidance, MSA/GR&R, JCGM 106 decision rules, and document validators. If you are actively preparing for the CCT, Metrologist provides the most comprehensive preparation toolkit available.

Lab Manager includes 10 team seats. As the account manager, you invite calibration technicians and staff directly from your account page. Each team member receives Cal Tech-level access. You monitor team progress, usage, and learning activity from the Manager Dashboard. Need more than 10 seats? Seat expansion packs (+5, +10, or +25 seats) can be added at any time from your account.

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. There are no cancellation fees.
